Skeptical

My friend asks me, "What does skeptical mean?"
I hear his faint voice but am not sure if I should respond. He then nudges me.
I unplug my earphones, look at him.
He repeat his question, I ask, "where?"
He points at a comment on his post.
I say, "Not sure."
